As part of the project, Allied Protek were contracted to manage and install a combined heat and power generation plant. Requiring our team to produce the service designs, CDM, safety and equipment installations, we implemented a powered boiler and turbine for the client, enabling the production of superheated steam throughout the process plant. Pipework manufacture and the installation was also managed by our team, alongside civil engineering and a complete electrical design package for the client.

Allied Protek also carried out various site surveys in order to verify the safety and construction of existing piping routes. According to our report, the existing pipe structures were deemed inadequate by current standards, so our team selected the most feasible solution by utilising a mix of the existing and new pipe bridges to enhance and restructure a number of routes. As such, all newly built structures were designed to BS 5950 – the British Standard for structural steelwork – and minor pipe supports were put in place as required.
