OUR ENVIRONMENTAL COMMITMENT
Allied Protek maintains an environmental management approach focused on regulatory compliance, pollution prevention, waste reduction, responsible resource use and continual improvement, independently certified to ISO 14001.
We continue to digitalise appropriate processes, reduce unnecessary paper consumption and use remote collaboration where it can reduce avoidable travel. Environmental considerations are also incorporated into decisions concerning materials, procurement, transportation and working methods.
Our objective is to reduce the environmental impact of our activities while supporting safe, efficient and responsible project delivery.
SUSTAINABLE ENGINEERING
Environmental considerations begin during the earliest stages of engineering design. Our teams consider how plant layouts, equipment selection, materials, utilities, maintainability and process efficiency may affect resource consumption, waste and long-term operational performance.
By considering these factors early in a project, we can help clients identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce unnecessary consumption and develop more resilient engineering solutions.
This approach continues throughout procurement, fabrication, installation and commissioning, helping ensure that environmental objectives are considered across the complete project lifecycle.
WASTE AND RESOURCE MANAGEMENT
Allied Protek aims to prevent unnecessary waste wherever practical and maximise opportunities for reuse and recycling. This includes the responsible segregation and recycling of excess metals and other materials produced during fabrication and project activities.
Accurate design, effective procurement planning and efficient manufacturing methods help us reduce material waste before it occurs. Within our offices, we also encourage digital working, responsible purchasing and the recycling of appropriate materials.
Where waste cannot be prevented or reused, it is handled through suitable waste-management processes and approved contractors.
We have been awarded Gold SafePQQ verification from Alcumus SafeContractor for our management system policies relating to ethical trading. By extending our SafeContractor certification, we are demonstrating our continued corporate social responsibility and commitment to being an ethical and sustainable company, minimising our environmental impact.
